A Baptism Service in the Unitarian Church is a service of Welcome and Thanksgiving for the Birth of a Child. It is not a Service of
initiation into the Church, we believe that only adults should make a decision about their religious affiliation. Each Service is
individual and is constructed following consultation with the Parents. The Service will consist of Readings, Prayers and Music.
Water is poured on the baby’s head as a symbol of life, parents appoint God Parents, and we dedicate the baby to everything that is
“Beautiful, Truthful and Good”.
